citizens. Subjects such as financial education, effective communication skills, conflict resolution and informed decision-making could be introduced to help students acquire essential skills in managing everyday life.

Education for Technology and Programming

In the digital age in which we live, technological knowledge has become essential. Introducing subjects to teach students about programming, cybernetics, cybersecurity, and computational thinking would help them understand and adapt to technology in a deeper way. These skills not only prepare them for future jobs, but also develop critical thinking and problem solving.

Education for mental and emotional health

In an increasingly hectic world, students’ mental and emotional health is as important as their academic development. By introducing a subject that addresses mental health, stress management, interpersonal relationships, and emotional resilience, students would learn how to maintain their psychological balance and cope with life’s challenges.

Education for Global Citizenship

In an increasingly interconnected world, understanding global issues and developing empathy for other cultures and perspectives are becoming critical. By introducing a global citizenship subject, students would learn about human rights, global social issues, sustainability and cultural diversity. This would help them become informed citizens and involved in solving global problems.

Technology in the classroom

One of the most notable innovations in the education system in Bucharest was the adoption of technology in teaching and learning. Schools have begun using tablets and laptops in the classroom to enable easy access to online educational resources, facilitate collaboration among students, and develop essential digital skills in the 21st century.[21] Online learning platforms have also been implemented, giving students the opportunity to develop their knowledge at their own pace.

Transdisciplinary projects

In order to promote critical and creative thinking, schools in Bucharest have begun to implement transdisciplinary projects. These projects involve integrating multiple disciplines to solve complex problems and develop problem-solving skills. Students learn to apply knowledge from different fields to address real challenges, thus preparing them for the requirements of an ever-changing professional environment

International collaboration

In the age of globalization, it is important for students to learn about different cultures and perspectives. The educational system in Bucharest promoted international exchanges, collaborating with schools from other countries to organize cultural and educational exchange programs. These programs not only enrich students’ experience, but also help them develop intercultural communication skills and understand the diversity of the world in which we live.

Center of Excellence and continuous Training

In order to ensure the quality of education, Bucharest has developed a Centre of Excellence and continuous Training for teachers. This center offers opportunities for professional development, both in terms of innovative pedagogical approaches and in terms of the use of technology in the classroom. By improving teacher skills, students indirectly benefit from an improved learning experience.

Competency-based assessment

The education system in Bucharest has evolved toward a competence-based assessment, focusing more on the deep understanding and practical application of knowledge, rather than mechanical memorization of information. Students are encouraged to solve complex problems, encourage respect for cultural, social and gender diversity. Thus, students will learn to be more open to those around them and develop empathy. In a society where tolerance and acceptance are increasingly important, these skills can help create a more harmonious community.

Improving self-confidence: Knowing and applying the rules of behavior can increase students’ confidence in their own abilities. When they feel confident about how they interact with others and in different social situations, they will address challenges with a positive attitude and be able to express their opinion in an appropriate way.

Preparing for professional success: Communication skills and appropriate behavior are essential in the professional world. Students will be better prepared to interact with peers, clients and superiors in a respectful and professional way. Thus, the introduction of “good manners” could help increase their chances of having a successful career.

<span style="font-weight:
